The early deadline is approaching for eateries to sign up for the first ever statewide New Hampshire Restaurant Week, hosted by the New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association, to be held May 18 to May 25. Restaurants that sign up by Thursday, March 15, will receive a significant discount on registration.
More than 80 restaurants have already committed to Restaurant Week NH, an eight-day event including restaurants from all over the state.
Eateries from a variety of locations are on board, including those from larger cities, as well as locations in smaller towns that are participating in their first restaurant week-type of event.
Tom Boucher, owner and CEO of Great NH Restaurants and chairman of the NHLRA Restaurant Week committee, credits Jack Carnevale of the Bedford Village Inn for coming up with the idea for the first ever statewide event.
“When Jack came up with the idea to highlight New Hampshire dining in this way, I was amazed at how quickly a committee of restaurateurs from around the state (including Jack) came together to bring this event to fruition,” he said. “It’s going to be a great week for restaurants all around the state.”
Restaurant Week NH begins with a kickoff event on Main Street in Concord in the morning on Friday, May 18. The eight days of Restaurant Week feature prix fixe menus at lunch and/or dinner at three price points so foodies of all budgets can take part in the event.
Restaurant Week NH is presented by The NH Liquor and Wine Outlet and Great New Hampshire Restaurants (T-BONES, Cactus Jack’s and Copper Door restaurants). Supporting sponsors are Coca-Cola and Horizon Beverage. Contributing sponsors are American Express, Stella Artois, Sysco and Laconia Savings Bank. The kickoff event sponsor is the Common Man. It is also funded in part by NH Division of Travel and Tourism.
